“Who rescues the rescuers?!”
Amir (“Dani”) Yardenai, may his memory be a blessing, son of Anat and Eyal from Moshav Nahalal, was a dedicated combatant in the Egoz Reconnaissance Unit. He personified courage, resilience, and unwavering loyalty to his comrades. Dani was a hero on the battlefield and beyond, bearing witness to unspeakable trauma during Operation Protective Edge, where he observed devastating loss while executing complex rescue missions under fire. On February 5, 2024, his struggle came to an end.
He left behind a brief three-line note expressing gratitude and love to his family: “It’s too much for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better family. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.” (translated from Hebrew)
The story of Dani serves as a poignant reminder of the silent battles many soldiers continue to fight long after their service. Back2Life Farm is dedicated to his memory, and our mission is to save the next Dani.
Over 10,000 cases of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) have been officially diagnosed among Israeli Defense Forces veterans. Many more await recognition, and the full impact of the most recent conflict remains unknown. The need for innovative, effective interventions has never been more urgent. Current solutions fall far short of what’s needed—too many remain isolated, unable to reintegrate into society, and tragically, some are pushed too close to the brink.
